Kitchen Corner Storage Solutions.

If you have a standard hinged-door corner unit with fixed shelves, almost certainly yes. The problem with these units isn't the size - it's the access. Items pushed to the back are effectively lost. A pull-out or rotating system changes that entirely.

The Kesseböhmer Arena Classic LeMans is the most widely installed corner solution in UK kitchens. Two kidney-shaped shelves are mounted on a hinged arm mechanism - as the door opens, both shelves swing out into the kitchen, bringing everything into reach.

o Suitable cabinet width: 400mm minimum
o Available in left-hand and right-hand configurations
o Maximum load: 25kg across both shelves
o Silver frame with grey or white shelf options
o Soft-close door damper available

The LeMans is the recommended solution for most kitchens. The pivot mechanism is reliable, intuitive and keeps both shelves visible and accessible simultaneously - unlike carousel systems where one shelf is always behind the other.

The Kesseböhmer Magic Corner takes a different approach. When the door opens, the front shelf slides out first, then the rear shelf follows - both ending up fully outside the cabinet in a straight line.

o Requires approximately 500mm clearance in front of the unit
o Makes absolutely every centimetre of the corner accessible
o Best for larger kitchens where clearance space isn't an issue
o Available for 450mm and 500mm cabinet widths

The Magic Corner is the most comprehensive access solution but requires the most space in front of the unit. If your kitchen has a clear run in front of the corner, it's worth serious consideration.

The Turnmotion is a rotating carousel system - shelves spin on a central column so items at the back rotate to the front with a simple turn. It's mechanically simpler than the LeMans or Magic Corner and can be fitted into standard blind corner units.

o Suits blind corner units (one door, no access from the side)
o Lower cost than the LeMans or Magic Corner
o Simpler to fit - no arm mechanism to align
o Best for less-frequently accessed storage

If budget is a consideration or you're fitting into a blind corner rather than an L-shaped accessible corner, the Turnmotion is a solid choice.

All three Kesseböhmer systems are designed for professional or advanced DIY installation. The LeMans requires careful alignment of the door hinge and arm mechanism - not difficult but needs patience. The Magic Corner and Turnmotion are more straightforward.
