How to measure a sloping door

A sloping door is made from a rectangle with one edge cut at an angle. We need four measurements, and a sketch helps.

1. The tall side

   The height of the door on its taller side, in mm.

2. The short side

   The height on its shorter side.

3. The width

   Across the bottom of the door.

4. Which way it slopes

   Looking at the front of the door, is the tall side on the left or the right? And which side are the hinges?

How sloping doors are priced

Each sloping door is priced from the rectangle it’s cut from, with a surcharge for the angled cut. Send us the sizes and we’ll come back with an exact price, usually within 1–2 working days.

Can every Bella style be made as a sloping door?

Most can. On panelled styles the panel follows the slope where it can; on some styles a steeply sloping door is made with a plain centre. We’ll tell you how yours will look before anything is made.

Can I have matching sloping end panels?

Yes. End panels and fillers can be cut to the same angle in the same colour.

Do you drill hinge holes in sloping doors?

Yes. Give us the hinge positions measured from the bottom edge of the door, on its tall side.

Can you help me measure?
