Choosing a glazed frame
Open frame
The door’s frame with the centre left open for glass: the simplest, most modern look, and the one most handleless and slab styles are made with.
Georgian frame
Glazing bars divide the glass into small panes, for a traditional or country kitchen. Made from 715mm high and up to 496mm wide.
Feature frame
A frame with a shaped or moulded profile around the glass, matching the panelled styles it’s made for.
Where they workWhere glazed doors work best
Wall units
A pair of glazed wall units either side of a cooker hood or window breaks up a run of solid doors and shows off glassware.
Dressers and larders
Glazed upper doors on a tall dresser unit give a traditional kitchen a focal point, especially with Georgian frames.
Lighting
Add LED strip or puck lights inside a glazed cabinet to light it up in the evening.

Ordering, delivery, sizes and fitting: all our answers →
Do the doors come with glass? You can order them with clear acrylic glazing fitted, which is lighter and safer than glass, or open so your glazier can fit glass of your choice.
Do glazed doors cost more?Yes. Open and feature frames cost a little more than a solid door of the same size, Georgian frames are priced by size, and glazing adds to that. The door builder shows the exact price.
Can drawer fronts be glazed? No. Glazed frames are made for doors only.
Can I have glazed doors with hinge holes?Yes. Hinge holes are drilled into the frame at the positions you give us.
